[TWC] Cowboys on NFL Network this Saturday

Are those of us in Texas with Time Warner Cable or OTA, and thusly no NFL Network, going to be able to watch the Cowboys game this Saturday?

Mods, If this is the wrong area to discuss this, please move to the right area. Thanks.

most of the time an ota channel will simulcast it. Last week KDKA simulcast the steelers vs browns game.

according to listings KDAF will be broadcasting it also.

KDAF is only available in the Dallas-Fort Worth DMA. juilinsandar lives in the the Harlingen-Brownsville DMA which will not show the game over the air.

juilinsandar your best bet is to go to a sports bar that has Directv and hope that the have the game on.

i live in steubenville/weirton dma and still got the steelers game on kdka out of pittsburgh.

Another option is to find a friend, relative or neighbor that gets nfl network and ask if you can watch it at their house.

Who is your home market NFL team?

Generally, it's always been the Dallas Cowboys or Houston Oilers/Texans.

I'm sure that there will be an article in the paper regarding the game being on NFL Network and it's unavailability to TWC subscribers & OTA viewers.

There is usually a mini brouhaha every year regarding this issue especially given the popularity of the Cowboys in the area.

If there's an NFL game on a national channel, ESPN or NFL Network, the PRIMARY market of both teams will get the game on a local channel. Keywords being primary market. When our wonderful Bills are nationally televised, which happens once every 5 years or so, only the Buffalo market gets the game on WKBW 7. Rochester is a secondary market, and doesn’t get the game on a local network. So you must live in the Dallas market, or have access to whatever local station gets Cowboys national games.

While I don’t usually quote Wikipedia:
quote:
In the event that regular season (or preseason) games are broadcast by a cable outlet (ESPN or NFL Network), WKBW-TV carries the ESPN or NFL Network feed
»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bu ··· lo_Bills

The one and only time a Bills regular season Bills game was on NFL Network it was a Thursday night game against the Jets in Toronto, that was on channel 7. The handful of times the Bills have been on ESPN Monday Night Football, that has been on Channel 7. When ESPN had Sunday Night, those games were on channel 7 as well.

As per the NFL agreement, CBS gets all AFC v AFC and AFC @ NFC regular season Sunday afternoon games. So yes, the Bills are on channel 4. But nationally televised games from ESPN or NFL Net will be on channel 7 and have been for years. Sorry, I’m right.

BILLS TORONTO SERIES GAME SOLD OUT

A limited number of team returns and premium seats remain available for the game. Fans interested in purchasing tickets can do so through billsintoronto.com, by calling 416-341-1440 or by visiting the Rogers Centre Box Office (Gate 7).

Official sold out games in the NFL are based on the general seating capacity of each venue. Premium seating (VIP, club seats and suites) does not apply to the official sold out status.

Thursday's game will air on Channel 7. Pre game coverage starts at 7:30.

AFAIK we're SOL so to speak here in South Texas. My solution is to go over to Louie's Backyard here on SPI and watch the game at the upstairs sports bar...
